Christian McCaffrey has added yet another accolade to his impressive resume. The San Francisco 49ers running back was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for December and the final week of the season, which took place in January.

In five December games, McCaffrey accumulated 520 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 79 carries. Additionally, he contributed in the passing game with 19 receptions, amassing 175 receiving yards and scoring two receiving touchdowns. His 139 scrimmage yards per game in Weeks 13 through 18 (didn't play Week 18) led the NFL.

Despite sitting out the regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, McCaffrey concluded the season with an impressive NFL-leading 2,023 scrimmage yards and 21 total touchdowns over 16 games. Notably, this marks the second time in his career that he has surpassed the 2,000-scrimmage-yard mark, with the first occurrence in 2019.

This is McCaffrey's second NFC Offensive Player of the Month award this season and fourth of his career. He previously earned the honor for September of this season, December of last season, and September of the 2019 season. McCaffrey is the first running back to win multiple Player of the Month awards in a single season since Jonathan Taylor did so in 2021.

The running back was among nine 49ers players to earn Pro Bowl selections for their stellar performances this season.
