Legette mentioned, "I went on 14 visits altogether. I haven't been home very much. I went to the Texans, Pittsburgh, Chiefs, Chargers, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Eagles, San Francisco, Detroit, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Green Bay, and the Broncos. I've been a little bit everywhere."
In his senior year in 2023, Legette impressed with 71 receptions on 97 targets, totaling a career-high and team-leading 1,255 yards, and adding seven touchdowns in 12 starts, per Sports Reference.
When asked about teams' primary takeaway from his play, Legette responded, "Their biggest takeaway has been my ability to high-point the football. Teams are impressed with my ability to climb the ladder and go get it. I turn those 50-50 balls into my ball. Everybody sees me being versatile enough to move me around their formations as well."
During his five seasons with the Gamecocks, Legette accumulated 113 passes for 1,678 yards and 12 touchdowns, with his significant contributions beginning in his 2023 campaign.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot-1, 221-pound Legette posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.39 seconds, a vertical jump of 40 inches, and a broad jump of 10 feet, 6 inches.
Reflecting on his performance, Legette commented, "The 10-foot-6 broad, I could have done better than that. Everything else was right on the money though. I was very satisfied with every other result."
Projections place Legette as a second-round draft pick. He ranks 53rd on Pro Football Focus' big board, with a career-high overall grade of 82.5 in 2023.
Expressing his aspirations, Legette added, "I want to make a huge impact for as long as I can play to the best of my abilities. I'm going to stay ahead of things and take great care of my body so I can prevent injuries. I'm going to have a very successful time in the league."
