It seems Deebo Samuel isn't going anywhere. Trade rumors have subsided since the beginning of the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. On Thursday, the San Francisco 49ers used the No. 31 overall pick to select wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. Some speculate that the pick was made with an eye on the future, potentially as insurance in case Samuel is traded down the road.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic contacted Samuel to inquire about his thoughts on the 49ers drafting a potential replacement and the reports of the team exploring trade options for him.

"I know what's going on, but it is what it is," Samuel told Russini. "I'm good staying with them. I'm chilling."

It appears that the 49ers have kept Samuel informed throughout the process. The receiver seems to grasp the sometimes harsh realities of the NFL. While several teams have inquired about Samuel, no moves appear imminent.

San Francisco's next draft pick will be at the end of the second round, with the No. 63 overall selection.

Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle provided an update on the situation, sharing on social media, "Regarding a potential Deebo Samuel trade: Right now, there does not appear to be a team that would meet the 49ers' asking price tonight. That could obviously change. All it takes is one team. But at this moment... it's quiet."
