San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to reporters after Friday's training camp practice, providing several injury updates on key players.

Spencer Burford will not require surgery for his broken hand. The offensive lineman will likely miss a couple more weeks of practice, as the initial recovery estimate was approximately three weeks.

The 49ers officially signed offensive lineman Pat Elflein on Friday. Unfortunately, he injured his calf during his first practice with the team. Another offensive lineman, Aaron Banks, has been dealing with back spasms.

Tight end Logan Thomas is nursing a hamstring injury, while wide receiver Jauan Jennings has missed practices due to an ankle injury. However, Jennings should be ready to return to practice soon.

Offensive lineman Jon Feliciano, who has been dealing with a knee issue, returned to practice on Friday.
