Last season, he recorded 59 tackles, one for a loss, three quarterback hits, two passes defensed, a sack, and a forced fumble in 17 games (six starts) with the Lions, per Pro Football Reference.

Walker, 29, has registered 398 tackles, 16 for a loss, seven quarterback hits, three interceptions, 23 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and four sacks in his 79 games (43 starts) over six NFL seasons.

All-Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga is expected to be eased into practice soon. The 49ers will evaluate his status next week when they travel to Southern California for joint practices with the New Orleans Saints. Hufanga is attempting to return from the ACL injury he sustained on November 19, 2023.
