"Can we win a Super Bowl without B.A.? I think B.A. is gonna be a part of this team, so we don't have to worry about that," Samuel responded.
Aiyuk continues to hold out from practice as he seeks to become one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers. Several teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, have shown interest in trading for him, with the Steelers reportedly ready to make a deal.
However, the 49ers have always prioritized keeping Aiyuk in red and gold and reportedly restarted contract negotiations last week after standing firm on their previous offer for months.
Both the 49ers and Steelers reportedly have deals on the table for Aiyuk, but the receiver has yet to decide whether to accept his team's offer or pursue a trade.
The 49ers will face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday before their final preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. After that, preparations will begin for the regular season opener, with San Francisco hosting the New York Jets in primetime on Monday, September 9.
