Head coach Kyle Shanahan had no in-game injuries to report following the San Francisco 49ers' 16-10 preseason victory over the New Orleans Saints at Levi's Stadium. That's certainly good news. However, we'll likely have to wait until Shanahan's next media availability to see if any issues emerge.

Shanahan did provide updates on a few players who missed the game due to injuries. Running back Jordan Mason was held out due to "hip soreness." Linebacker Dee Winters was sidelined with a bruised knee sustained in practice and wide receiver Jauan Jennings missed the game because of an oblique issue.

None of these injuries are considered serious, so it seems the 49ers came out of the game relatively healthy. Newly signed defensive lineman Nick Williams went down in the first quarter and was listed as "questionable" with a knee injury. However, Shanahan's omission of Williams in his post-game comments is likely a positive sign.

Shanahan also provided an update on wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, noting that the 49ers' staff will monitor how the rookie's shoulder responds this week.

"He's running routes, feeling good and stuff, but we don't want to put him in there, getting hit and things like that, and some awkward positions until we know he can pass all the tests and do everything," Shanahan explained. "So he's day-to-day right now."

Shanahan also mentioned that the 49ers expect rookie running back Isaac Guerendo to return this week. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

"Hopefully, practice will go well, and we can take a look at him in the game, and hopefully, Ricky will get there, too," Shanahan said.
