NFL Network's Mike Garafolo provided updates on several players on Friday ahead of the San Francisco 49ers' preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders. One of the players he mentioned was Brandon Aiyuk. While Garafolo didn't have much to report on the ongoing contract negotiations between Aiyuk and the 49ers, he did share one notable detail—the receiver is in Las Vegas.

"My understanding is Aiyuk has traveled with the team for the last preseason game, so that is perhaps a sign of good faith that he is with the team," Garafolo said.

The 49ers are set to face the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium at 7 p.m. PT.

Aiyuk also attended the 49ers' preseason game against the New Orleans Saints last weekend, watching from a luxury box at Levi's Stadium with the team's injured players.

San Francisco remains hopeful that a contract extension can be reached before the start of the regular season. Although Aiyuk is under contract and set to earn $14.124 million this season, he seeks to become one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers. His presence with the team for the final preseason game is a positive sign.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are navigating the financial challenges of maintaining a competitive roster for the foreseeable future while anticipating the need to make quarterback Brock Purdy one of the NFL's highest-paid players next year.
