According to Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Curtis Robinson was carted off the field during the early portion of Thursday's practice due to an apparent leg injury.

Update: The 49ers report that Robinson suffered a knee injury.

While Robinson hasn't played a defensive snap this season, he's been a key contributor on special teams, participating in 78 percent of the unit's snaps, per Pro Football Reference.

If Robinson's injury proves significant, the 49ers may elevate DaShaun White, the only linebacker on the practice squad, for this weekend's game against the New England Patriots.

Robinson is in his fourth season with the 49ers. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2021.
