Mason delivered an impressive showing, rushing for 123 yards and scoring a touchdown—his third 100-yard rushing game of the season. He also contributed with two receptions for 37 yards.
Joining Mason as nominees are Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, and Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift.
Notably, 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings earned this accolade following Week 3, making him the first wide receiver ever to receive the honor.
FedEx allows fans to recognize the best performances from skill-position players each week by voting at nfl.com/voting/air-and-ground. Notably, there are no longer positional restrictions for the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week Awards. Regardless of position, the two players with the most votes will be named FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week when voting closes at 12:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday.
FedEx will designate weekly donations of $2,000 in the names of the two winning players ($4,000 total) to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), providing need-based scholarships to deserving HBCU students throughout the season.
