San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and tight end George Kittle returned to practice on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday sessions. Their participation is an encouraging sign of their availability for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Warner left last weekend's game against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury just before halftime and did not return. Kittle, who suffered a rib injury during the same game, managed to re-enter the contest.

On Wednesday, Warner expressed optimism about playing against the Cardinals.

"My plan is obviously to play," Warner said. "That's my hope. I'm just going to continue to listen to what the training room wants me to do and take it one day at a time."

Kittle shared a similar outlook when asked about his status on Thursday.

"I feel great today," Kittle said with a smile.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan will address the media after Friday's practice and provide an update on the game-day statuses of Warner, Kittle, and the other players on the injury list.
