On Saturday, the NFL handed down a $10,750 fine to San Francisco 49ers linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles for unnecessary roughness in the 49ers win over the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night. Flannigan-Fowles was fined for leading with his helmet during the game.

Flannigan-Fowles played 18 special teams snaps against the Cowboys but was still fined due to his actions on one of them. According to the NFL's schedule of infractions and fines, impermissible use of your helmet results in a $22,511 fine. Flannigan-Fowles was likely fined less because NFL fines cannot exceed 10% of a player's game check.

According to other sources, the NFL is still considering a possible fine for 49ers star Nick Bosa, who wore a "MAGA" hat after Sunday's win over Dallas. Bosa did not wear it to his postgame meeting with the media, but he did appear with it on air while NBC interviewed a couple of his teammates. Bosa was asked about the hat during his media session but declined to discuss it, saying, "I'm not going to talk about it, but I think it's an important time."

If Bosa is fined, it will most likely be $11,255, the fine for what the NFL calls "Personal Messages." According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, the NFL is not considering suspending Bosa.
