Per Rapoport, Bosa is being fined "for a violation of the NFL uniform and equipment rules for wearing a hat that contained a personal message."
Rapoport added, "Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8 of the NFL rulebook states that 'throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office.'"
Bosa was asked earlier this week if he thought he would be fined. He answered, "I don't know. I haven't gotten one yet, but if it comes, it comes." The 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year also added that if it happens, it would be "well worth it." As Bosa put it, "Clearly, the nation spoke, and we got what we got."
The NFL has strict regulations regarding uniforms. This includes showing support for a political party or candidate. Trump, the candidate Bosa was supporting, was elected on Tuesday to his second term as President of the United States.
