Purdy is returning to the lineup after missing last weekend's game against the Green Bay Packers due to a shoulder injury.
When asked on Friday about Purdy's availability, Shanahan confidently stated, "Yes. I mean, lots of things can happen between now and then, but right now he's playing, so he's doing good. He had a good day."
Schefter added that Purdy has not experienced any setbacks, a reassuring update, though setbacks were considered unlikely.
Both Shanahan and Purdy emphasized that the quarterback would only take the field if he were fully healthy.
"Brock wouldn't be playing if he wasn't 100% at it," Shanahan noted. "So I think the fact that he's going to be playing means he's healthy."
Purdy echoed his coach's sentiments, adding, "If I'm out there playing, which is the plan, then I'll be able to make every throw that we have drawn up. I wouldn't go out there playing not 100%."
The 49ers and Bills are set to kick off Sunday night at Highmark Stadium at 5:20 p.m. PT.
