At the same time, Terrell Owens could be heard on local radio stations saying he loves the 49ers, feels his career is incomplete unless he can finish it as a 49er. He feels he would have caught the easy passes that handcuffed Pettis, Goodwin, and Bourne vs. Seattle, and posted a video online of his current workout just two months ago. He is an incredible physical specimen and is in great shape and badly wants an opportunity to prove he can be a valuable addition to a depleted WR corps, probably the weakest WR group in the NFL.
The sole objection from fans online was that he is too old. Too old? Rather than just laugh at the suggestion, people have to come up with a better reason than that. Tiger Woods came back after four back surgeries and five knee surgeries to win the Masters and is currently the No. 7 ranked golfer in the WORLD! George Foreman knocked out Michael Moorer, who was undefeated at 35-0 for the world heavyweight boxing championship at age 45. Bernard Hopkins won his title at age 46. Jack Nicklaus won his last Masters at age 46. There's a guy in New England named Tom Brady, who is currently 42.
Age should not be a factor in whether or not T.O. gets a chance. If he is physically fit, emotionally ready, and motivated, why not? The Niners are down to one healthy WR, Deebo Samuel. Bourne makes occasional great plays, but his series of drops makes him un-dependable. Goodwin and Pettis are useless, and if they were released, nobody would notice, especially not Jimmy G. Jordan Matthews returned to the Eagles.
There is no question as to T.O's motivation. He is as determined as Tiger. Most fans expressed support for his efforts. Watch his video and let us know how you feel. He has grown a lot, and after having blown most of his $80 million over his career, he now counsels players to help them to avoid the same mistakes. He would be a motivator and inspiration in the locker room. It's a unique situation, but one that would be a great PR move for the team. What other team has ever put a Hall of Famer into the lineup?
Watch T.O., evaluate, and vote. Here is T.O.'s video after he worked out and ran at full speed for over 30 minutes:

Deebo Samuel: 49ers can win with Brock Purdy or Brandon Allen at QB
The San Francisco 49ers' 2024 season has not gone as planned. Sitting at 5-6 and in last place in the NFC West, the team is reeling after a 38-10 blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers have been plagued by injuries, with key players such as quarterback Brock Purdy,... -
49ers mailbag: Why isn't Jordan Mason more involved? What happened to the SF defense? What's wrong with Deebo Samuel?
This is a crucial week for the San Francisco 49ers. After Thanksgiving, they travel to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. While few (if any) expect the 49ers to win this game, you never know. The 49ers may rekindle that fire that has been missing all season long.... -
Why the 49ers aren't using Mason or Guerendo since McCaffrey's return
Since returning from an Achilles tendinitis issue, Christian McCaffrey has dominated the San Francisco 49ers' backfield, playing 88% of the offensive snaps. In contrast, Jordan Mason has seen just 8% of the snaps since McCaffrey's return, while Isaac Guerendo has played only...
