After lengthy contract talks between Michael Crabtree, his representatives, and team officials on Tuesday night, the rookie wide receiver agreed to terms of a contract early Wednesday morning.

Without Crabtree, San Francisco is 3-1 and leading the NFC West. However, head coach Mike Singletary has repeatedly commented that the team would welcome their 10th overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft if a deal were struck.

The contract is reportedly a six year deal worth roughly the same amount as what was originally offered by the team. The contract is voidable to five years should certain incentives be met. If Crabtree fails to reach the incentives, the sixth year pays him only $4 million.

The talks last night broke a three week silence by Crabtree and his agent Eugene Parker. Crabtree is expected to report to the team's training facility Wednesday.

The holdout by the young receiver has brought about much criticism by analysts and fans. However, according to polls and questionnaires, most 49ers fans appear to be ready to welcome Crabtree with open arms.
