As Peppers visits Chicago, NFL Network has reported that both the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots have made offers to free agent defensive end Julius Peppers.

NFL Network seems to feel that Chicago is still the front-runner for Peppers and that the Bears will not let him leave without a deal in place.

NFL Network also reports that defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch (Titans) has agreed to a deal with the Detroit Lions.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the New Orleans Saints are close to a long-term agreement with offensive guard Jahri Evans that would make him one of the highest paid offensive guards in NFL history.
