Today, the San Francisco 49ers released information on how fans can get their hands on tickets to the first day of training camp. Once again, the team will be partnering with the San Jose Mercury to give fans the opportunity to obtain tickets to the 5:00pm training camp session on August 2.

Just as in previous years, you will need to obtain a copy of the San Jose Mercury news to receive a code allowing you to reserve a ticket. The code will be within the Wednesday, July 7 edition of the newspaper.

Unlike previous years, you can also become friends with the San Jose Mercury News or Contra Costa Times on Facebook and look for the code there. Instructions will direct you to 49ers.com to obtain and print your ticket.

Gates to the training camp session open one hour prior to the start of practice with additional open dates to be announced later.
