With Stanford's season over after a 40-12 win over Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl, all football eyes in the Bay Area are on the Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh has been named as the San Francisco 49ers' top choice for head coach after the firing of Mike Singletary.

The team has not even named a general manager yet but team Vice President of Player Personnel Trent Baalke and Mike Lombardi may be the frontrunners. It may come down to whoever has the best chance at landing Harbaugh.

Many 49ers fans also hope that Harbaugh's presence in San Francisco may help the team land Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck in the 2011 NFL Draft. Although, that would be highly unlikely without a major trade to move up from the team's current 7th spot.

With their Orange Bowl win, Stanford finished their 2010 season 12-1 under Harbaugh.

Other teams expected to make a big push for Harbaugh include the University of Michigan and even the Denver Broncos.
