San Francisco 49ers fans are glued to the internet today as "Harbaugh Watch" is at its peak.

The 49ers are reportedly having a meeting with Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh today at an undisclosed location away from the team's training facility. Team President and CEO Jed York along with newly hired General Manager Trent Baalke will likely be the ones to meet with Harbaugh.

There is also some fan speculation that Eddie Debartolo, who has been a close advisor to his nephew Jed York in these decision making processes, may be involved. Although, that is not confirmed.

Harbaugh just helped the Cardinal to a 12-1 record this past season and guided the team to a 40-12 Orange Bowl victory over Virginia Tech on Monday night.

The 49ers also met with Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackson this morning, a meeting that satisfied the NFL's Rooney Rule stating that teams must interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operations opportunities.

The University of Michigan was reportedly interested in Harbaugh as well. Although, they have even stated that Harbaugh is headed for the NFL.

Other NFL teams that have shown strong interest in Harbaugh include the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins currently have Tony Sparano as their coach.
