Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the San Francisco 49ers are in the running to sign Vikings free agent linebacker Raonall Smith. The Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals are also interested in Smith.

Smith has spent the past 4 years in Minnesota. He has played in 30 games and made 64 tackles and 1 sack.

The 49ers have re-signed exclusive-rights free agent running back Maurice Hicks to his one-year, $425,000 tender offer.
