From KFFL: Charean Williams, of the Star-Telegram reports that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Antonio Bryant has been on his best behavior since signing with team earlier this offseason. By default, Bryant has become the team's No. 1 receiver. He is participating in the 49ers' off-season program, head coach Mike Nolan said. "I can get criticized for Antonio Bryant, because he has some issues," Nolan said, referring to Bryant throwing his jersey in the face of Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells. "But I think we have the environment to handle that. Even if it isn't his maturity coming along, we've got the things around him to make it right. I don't think it's his character as much as he's a volatile personality guy."

Team could move up or down in the NFL Draft or stay put

Matthew Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports the San Francisco 49ers not only are willing to trade down in the first round of the April 29 NFL Draft but will be receptive to offers of trading up as well. "We've at least talked about it," head coach Mike Nolan said this week at the owners' meeting in Orlando, Fla. The 49ers currently have 11 picks in the draft, including four in the first three rounds, and the coach admitted he has been getting numerous inquiries, some serious, some not, over the last few days. Nolan is quite pleased with the 49ers' positioning and predicted there will be "more than one player we like" when it is their turn to pick. More likely scenarios, however, have the 49ers staying put at No. 6 or trading that pick for even more selections.
