"We're getting good reports from Jeremy, but we're going to have to wait until training camp to see. It's a very serious surgery that took place."

Johnson participating in offseason workouts

Dennis Georgatos, writing for the Sporting News, reports San Francisco 49ers tight end Eric Johnson, who has missed two of the past three seasons with injuries, is an active participant in the 49ers' offseason workout program for the first time in his career. The 49ers considered cutting him after last season, but he made an impression on head coach Mike Nolan when he sought Nolan out the day after the season and told the coach of his renewed dedication to the team and determination to improve his conditioning.
