Kevin Lynch, of the Chronicle, reports Mike Rumph looks like a different person. He cut his weight from 207 to 196 pounds and dropped his body fat from 12 to 6 percent. Rumph is rebounding from last year's torn plantar fascia muscle and is moving back from safety to cornerback. ... Another plantar fascia victim, tight end Eric Johnson, will be held back in this minicamp. He'll run routes but not against a defender. Johnson said he would be ready to go all out in next month's organized team activity. ... Tackle Jonas Jennings (shoulder) running back Frank Gore (shoulders), wide receiver Derrick Hamilton (knee) and running back Kevan Barlow (knee) will be held out of this minicamp but should return in June. Safety Tony Parrish (broken leg) and center Jeremy Newberry (knee) hopefully will be ready by training camp in late July. Brandon Moore is working as an inside linebacker behind Jeff Ulbrich. Moore could be switched to the outside later.
