According to a source, San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman's MRI results are in and his left knee looks "fine."

However, there is still no timetable for his return to the team.

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has said that there is a possibility that Bowman won't play at all this year, but that a course of action hasn't yet been decided.

Bowman suffered an ACL injury in the NFC Championship game last season. The team is already without linebacker Patrick Willis, who opted to have surgery on his big toe on his left foot to fix a muscle strain.

On Sunday against the New York Giants, the team may also be without defensive backs Tramaine Brock and Jimmie Ward, leaving the team extremely thin at the position.
