According to Jeff Gravley of WRAL-TV, Steve Logan will become the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback coach. It was announced yesterday that Logan, who was 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach with the Rhein Fire in 2006, was expected to join the offensive staff.

Logan was the offensive coordinator for Boston College in 2007 and 2008. He served as the running backs coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011.

In 2006, the Rhein Fire ranked second in the league in scoring with Logan at the helm.
