San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith has agreed to a contract restructure per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

Smith can still get his $9.75 million, but it is no longer guaranteed. The new deal, now based on monthly and weekly bonuses, will allow the 49ers to part ways with Smith if there are any off-the-field issues.

Smith was selected by the 49ers in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Since then, he has had 152 tackles, 44 sacks, an interception and five forced fumbles. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012.
