Bryant Young wins Len Eshmont award

Matt Maiocoo of the Press Democrat is reporting Bryant Young was the winner of the Len Eshmont Award for the seventh time. He is also one Pro Bowl roster move away from making his fifth trip to Hawaii for the all-star game. Bears DT Tommie Harris was named to the Pro Bowl team, but he is out for the season. Young was the second alternate. Now, he's the first alternate. CB Walt Harris can also earn a trip if one of the NFC's corners is unable to play.

Len Eshmont Award (inspirational and courageous play) - Bryant Young.

Bill Walsh Award (MVP) - Frank Gore, Walt Harris.

Bobb McKittrick Award (courage, intensity and sacrifice on the offensive line) - Eric Heitmann.

Matt Hazeltine Iron Man Award (courageous and inspirational defensive player) - Brandon Moore.

Ed Block Courage Award (sportsmanship and courage) - Frank Gore.
