With the 2010 draft just a mere 5 days away, there is a lot of talk about the 49ers drafting a running back, especially in the 1st-round.

Now, I am all for drafting one guy in particular, and that man is Clemson's do all athlete C.J. Spiller. The dynamic Spiller, had a career best 1212 yards rushing in 2009, and a career high 503 yards receiving.

Now there is talks about other running backs. Namely the likes of Cal's Jahvid Best, Fresno State's Ryan Mathews and Georgia Tech's Jonathan Dwyer. I don't think or believe RB is a huge need at this point.

My reasoning behind this, is we have Glen Coffee, who is a hard nosed runner, and then Michael Robinson. Now robinson is not beloved by most, but he is also a do it all player. He plays special teams, and will do anything to get yardage.

But, if we can get Spiller at 13, then he would be well worth the value, he has top 10 talent, and would be the change of pace back, and return man we so lack.

Now, you might be saying, well what about if he falls to 17, why pick him at 13. Well, in my opinion, he won't last to 17, some team like Seattle will scoop him up at 14, and if by some chance he falls past him, then well, you might see Minnesota or another team come calling to scoop Spiller up.

So in closing, it is in my opinion, that unless we plan on drafting Spiller, just say no to the other RB's in this draft.
