Former San Francisco 49ers defensive end Justin Smith, who retired from the NFL in May after 14 seasons, is considering joining Missouri Tigers head coach Gary Pinkel's staff as a strength assistant.

He has now put his Bay Area home up for sale at the list price of $2.888 million. Smith paid $2.875 million for the 3.6-acre property in 2008. Built in 1999, it sits on a private street and features waterfalls, a basketball/tennis court, swimming poll, a covered cabana, and more.

Smith retired from the NFL with 87 sacks and 613 tackles in 221 career games while with the Cincinnati Bengals and 49ers.
