According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the San Francisco 49ers are receiving calls from teams that are interested in dealing for a tight end. Specifically, they are interested in Derek Carrier or Asante Cleveland.

Both tight ends played on Saturday against the Texans. Carrier had one catch for 5 yards while Cleveland had three catches for 10 yards.

Maiocco later stated that the Washington Redskins and New England Patriots are likely to be the teams that have spoken with the 49ers. He also states that, because of a $400,000 signing bonus that Carrier got in the offseason as part of an extension, the price might be higher for him.

The 49ers do need help at multiple positions, with the offensive line and defensive backs possibly being the team's biggest area of concern.

Other tight ends currently on the roster include Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald, Garrett Celek, Blake Bell, Xavier Grimble, and Busta Anderson.
