Their latest project was a pretty impressive one. It is a mosaic of San Francisco 49ers legends Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. The creator, a youth pastor in Clovis, California named Nicholas Bradley, made the mosaic in memory of his father who passed away three years ago. Montana and Rice were favorites of his father.
"I have many MANY fond memories of watching games with him and watching Joe and Jerry perform magic on the field. I remember the Superbowl where Jerry was the MVP and John Taylor caught the winning touchdown with just over 30 seconds left. There was a halftime show that featured 3D glasses provided by Coca Cola. I have SO many memories with my dad around the 49ers," says Bradley.
His dream is to build a mosaic at Levi's Stadium, maybe even within the 49ers Museum.
During Bradley's time-lapse video of him building the mosaic, there are some interesting facts about the two 49ers legends.
- Montana threw for 35,142 yards which is three more yards for every dot in the mosaic.
- Rice caught 1,549 passes, which is 223 more passes than cubes in the mosaic.
