On Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers placed RB Carlos Hyde on injured reserve, officially ending his season.

For much of the season, Hyde has been trying to recover from a stress fracture in his left foot. He had not played since the 49ers' October 22 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium.

RB Shaun Draughn has been filling in as the team's starting running back and has performed admirably.

Prior to the injury this season, Hyde had 470 yards on 115 carries, three touchdowns and averaged over four yards per carry. He also had 53 yards on 11 receptions. Although, 40 of those yards came during that Thursday night game against the Seahawks, after the injury had already been revealed.
