The other two teams that are interested are the Washington Redskins and the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks. However, the Bears appear to be unwilling to trade Briggs having locked him up with the franchise tag. Briggs has openly expressed his displeasure about not being able to test the free agent market.
While the interest is there, it appears unlikely that the Bears would allow a trade involving Briggs or they have been very good at denying the possibility. They were unwilling to confirm the interest for Briggs. When asked about trade interest, Seahawks team president Tim Ruskell said, "There's no truth to that whatsoever."
