The second matchup of the day saw the Carolina Panthers beat the Arizona Cardinals impressively by the score of 49-15 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
This will be Carolina's second Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.
Levi's Stadium, the home field of the San Francisco 49ers which opened in 2014, will host the biggest sports even of the year.
The game could be the final one for Broncos future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning. This will be his fourth Super Bowl appearance, having won Super Bowl XLI.
