Chad Reuter, a draft analyst on the site, updated his mock draft to include the first four rounds for all 32 NFL teams. He had the following to say about the 2016 NFL Draft.
In the deepest draft in recent memory, late third and fourth-round selections are bound to make an early contribution to their new teams.
Earlier today, ESPN's Mel Kiper had the 49ers selecting talented UCLA linebacker Myles Jack. With the NFL season over and free agency looming, expect professional mock drafts to become more frequent. Even our own Alex Pedregon has published his first mock with Cal quarterback Jared Goff falling to San Francisco.
Back to Reuter's NFL.com four-round mock, here are his projected selections for the 49ers.
Round 1, Pick 7
Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
The 49ers take a receiver early to help out whoever they go with at quarterback. Baalke has not had much luck drafting receivers, but gives it another shot.
Round 2, Pick 6
Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama
The 49ers shore up the defensive line with an elite run defender and space eater.
Round 3, Pick 5
Joshua Garnett, OG, Stanford
The 49ers do not address their offensive line problems until the third round by adding a powerful guard that will need to be coached up in pass blocking.
Round 4, Pick 8
Vernon Adams, Jr., QB, Oregon
49ers scouts spoke with Adams prior to the East-West Shrine Game. While viewed as undersized at 5'11", he impressed during the game.
Round 4, Pick 34
Cre'von LeBlanc, CB, Florida Atlantic
A projected compensatory selection for the loss of CB Chris Culliver last offseason.
