95.7 The Game's John Middlekauff is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs might be out of the race to bring back CB Sean Smith. Instead, it is likely now a two-team race between the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.

On Monday, it was reported by Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area that the 49ers had discussions about bringing Smith to San Francisco. Cornerback is one of the many positions of need for the 49ers.

Smith, a 2009 draft selection out of Utah by the Miami Dolphins, has had 353 tackles, 10 interceptions, three forced fumbles, 81 passes deflected, and a defensive touchdown over his career.
