ESPN's Adam Caplan is reporting that RB Lance Dunbar will visit with the San Francisco 49ers.

Dunbar spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after being signed by them out of North Texas in 2012 as an undrafted free agent. Over his career, he has 391 rushing yards with a 4.6 yard-per-carry average. He also has 524 receiving yards on 52 receptions.

Dunbar expected to be a part of the Cowboys' offense in 2013, but injuries and fumbles shortened his campaign. In October of 2015, Dunbar was placed on the injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL and MCL during a kickoff return in the team's fourth game, a matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Surprisingly, he entered that game as the Cowboys' leading receiver with 215 yards on 21 receptions.

The 49ers had expressed interest in Buccaneers RB Doug Martin, but Tampa Bay re-signed him to a 5-year, $35.75 million deal.
