The teams on the list include the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Giants. Laurinaitis, the 35th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, was recently released by the Los Angeles Rams along with DE Chris Long and TE Jared Cook.
Laurinaitis' release, which was a surprise to Laurinaitis, saved the Rams $5.78 million in salary cap space. He never missed a start in seven seasons with the Rams while in St. Louis, playing in 112 games, making 853 tackles, 16.5 sacks, and 10 interceptions.
The Rams filed to relocate from St. Louis back to Los Angeles following the 2015 season. The move was approved at the NFL owners meeting in January.
Update:
Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area confirms that, according to a source, Laurinaitis has yet to visit with the 49ers.
