Yesterday, Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reported that Goff, who remains the popular choice among mock drafts for the 49ers' seventh overall selection, would be working out for both the San Francisco and Cleveland Browns this week.
A number of team representatives, including head coach Chip Kelly, attended Goff's pro day on March 18. Of course, the event was a short drive from the 49ers' headquarters in Santa Clara. The Cleveland Browns, including their own head coach Hue Jackson, also had a big presence at the event.

49ers personnel were seen talking to Goff prior to his passing session that day. Kelly was not one of the individuals that spoke to Goff at length. In fact, according to Goff himself, Kelly just spoke to him in passing by simply saying "Hi" to him.
The members of the coaching staff in attendance to watch Goff that day included Kelly, quarterbacks coach Ryan Day, receivers coach Bob Bicknell, running backs coach Tom Rathman, and assistant offensive line coach Eric Wolford.
Goff's hands measured in at 9 1/8 inches at the pro day, which was 1/8 of an inch longer than the much-criticized measurement that came in at the NFL Scouting Combine. Following the pro day, he even joked about the measurement saying, "They got a new measuring tape made for small-handed people."
How did he do during his pro day? Goff finished 61 of 69 with two drops and capped the session with a 40-yard pass completion. Following the session, Goff even threw some wet footballs after Browns quarterback coach Pep Hamilton dowsed some with water.
Colin Kaepernick remains on the 49ers' roster and a report yesterday by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network stated that would remain the case unless the team is "blown away" by an offer for the quarterback. Kaepernick is still recovering from multiple surgeries and his representatives requested permission to seek a trade for their client during the week of the NFL Scouting Combine in February. Since then, multiple teams were linked as possible trade partners, including the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets. Right now, only the Denver Broncos seem like a viable option if a deal were to take place – which is seeming less and less likely.
If Kaepernick is officially on the roster at 1 PM Pacific on March 31, then he will be on the roster on April 1 when he is due his $11.9 million base salary.
Other quarterbacks on the roster include Blaine Gabbert, Dylan Thompson, and Thad Lewis.
