As Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee stated over the weekend, numbers for many of these players may be temporary and subject to change once the roster is reduced to 53 spots. However, they will be worn for the remainder of the team's offseason.
As noted by 49ers.com, the one player who's number is safe is first-round selection DeForest Buckner. He will remain number 99, so it is safe for fans to order his jersey.
