Newcomers to the San Francisco 49ers' roster were assigned their official numbers for the upcoming season. WR Rod Streater, who was acquired via a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs on September 3, will wear No. 81. DT Taylor Hart, who was claimed by the 49ers on Monday, will wear No. 96.

Anquan Boldin wore No. 81 last season. He is now with the Detroit Lions. Corey Lemonier wore No. 96 last season. He was released on Saturday.

QB Christian Ponder will be changing his number from No. 5 to No. 15. No. 5 is currently worn by punter Bradley Pinion.

No. 15 was previously worn by WR DeAndre Smelter, who was waived with an injury settlement.

All of this was revealed when the 49ers released their first "unofficial" depth chart of the season.

The 49ers open the season on Monday, September 12 at 7:20 PM against the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium.
