The San Francisco 49ers have released their Week 2 injury report. The team is preparing to hit the road for a matchup with the defending NFC Champion Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The 49ers are going into the game relatively healthy. All 53 players practiced on Wednesday and Thursday with some players being limited. The biggest news from the injury report is that OT Anthony Davis has been ruled out for Sunday's game with a concussion. He has been practicing this week, but the injury occurred during Thursday's practice. He reported to the medical staff following that practice.

After earning the starting role at right guard, Davis was moved into a backup tackle role prior to Week 1. A concussion that he suffered during the 2014 season was one of the factors that led to his decision to retire prior to the 2015 season. Although, a 49ers spokesman said that there has been no retirement talk following this latest injury.

CB Chris Davis was limited this week with the hamstring injury that caused him to miss Monday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. DB Jimmie Ward filled in very well at nickel.

For the Panthers, RB Jonathan Stewart is expected dot play despite his listed status. He was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury. "I don't know, he's questionable," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "Yes, I expect him to play."

The 49ers will travel to North Carolina today following their morning practice. They will practice at a local field in Charlotte on Saturday before they face the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.

Below is the complete injury report, which was released by the team. The status of "probable" was eliminated this season, leaving only "questionable," "doubtful," and "out."
