There is no doubt that the San Francisco 49ers offense looks better being led by quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The bad news is that the 49ers defense looks about the same as it continues to give up big numbers to running backs this season. This time, it is to Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy. He rushed for 106 yards in the first half. Sadly for the Bills and their fans, McCoy went down with 31 seconds left in the half.

Update:
McCoy has been cleared to return, per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

The Bills currently lead the 49ers 17-13 at halftime.

Unlike the Blaine Gabbert-led unit, the 49ers offense was finally able to connect on a deep play to Torrey Smith. Kaepernick and Smith connected on a 53-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Carlos Hyde leads the 49ers in rushing with just 37 yards. Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is 10 of 15 for 85 yards.

The 49ers are trying to snap a four-game losing streak. Their last five-game losing streak was during a 0-5 start in 2010. San Francisco entered the game as 7.5-point underdogs and were 9-point underdogs earlier this week.
