At the top of the list are New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Brady has the best passer rating among all quarterbacks while Luck is 12th.
In Pro Football Focus' grading system, Kaepernick sits right in front of Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Kaepernick finished last season as the 37th ranked quarterback in the NFL per Pro Football Focus, earning a 42.9 grade – the lowest of his career. This season, he is just above that grade at 46.1.
"Kaepernick's continued inaccuracy plagued the offense throughout and the offensive line did him zero favors," wrote Wes Huber of Pro Football Focus in regards to Kaepernick's performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. "Kaepernick accumulated a mere 143 passing yards on 34 attempts, 41 yards coming on the first drive and 36 of those gained during garbage-time check downs. Kaepernick would complete only two of nine attempts for six yards when under pressure and only twice attempted throws of 20 yards or more – both incompletions."
How does Kaepernick compare to the top and the bottom of the list? Let's take a look.
