Fans who are looking forward to watching San Francisco 49ers rookie George Kittle play for the first time will have to wait a little longer. The tight end will not play in tonight's game against the Kansas City Chiefs but did travel with the 49ers. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury. Linebacker Brock Coyle (rib) is also out.

The players who did not travel with the 49ers to Kansas City are defensive back Jimmie Ward (hamstring), who is on the physically-unable-to-perform list, cornerback Dontae Johnson (concussion), linebacker Donavin Newsom (concussion), and guard Joshua Garnett (knee).

Kickoff for Friday's game at Arrowhead Stadium is at 6 p.m. PT. The 49ers' team captains are linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tackle Joe Staley, and wide receiver Aaron Burbridge.
