Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports and Sports Illustrated is reporting that Florida Atlantic defensive coordinator Chris Kiffin is joining the San Francisco 49ers staff as the pass rush specialist coach.
Kiffin, 36, improved the Owls from the No. 124 defense to No. 37 in his one season there. Before joining Florida Atlantic, he spent five years as the defensive line coach at Ole Miss. Kiffin has also spent time with Nebraska, USC, and Arkansas State in various roles.
Chris is the younger brother of Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin and the son of longtime NFL defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.
