The San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday that linebacker Brock Coyle will miss the remainder of this week's practices with what is listed as a hip injury. The team is giving him the rest of the week off to rest following the injury, which occurred during Tuesday's practice. Coyle will be re-evaluated after this week.
Offensive lineman JP Flynn will miss Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and will be further evaluated.
The two 49ers players join an injury list that already includes defensive lineman Arik Armstead (hamstring), tight end Cole Hikutini (groin), and guard Joshua Garnett (knee). Armstead is week-to-week, Hikutini will miss this week, and Garnett is day-to-day.
Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is getting a veteran day off on Wednesday. He will return to practice on Thursday.
Update: Defensive back Jimmie Ward is not practicing on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. He is day-to-day. H/t to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle for the update. Like Coyle, Ward left the practice field on Tuesday with some tightness following individual drills.
