The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. The team has completed its week of full practices and will board a plane for Minnesota at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Linebacker Malcolm Smith (hamstring), who figured to start next to rookie Fred Warner, is listed as doubtful against the Vikings.

"We are going to list him as doubtful," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after Friday's practice. "He's been limited all week and was today also so doubtful is a small chance and we'll see on Sunday."

Shanahan said that Smith still has a little time to prove he is healthy enough to play.

"He's still got two more days to do it so that's why we're not going to rule him out, but he's not there yet," Shanahan added.

Who will start in place of Smith?

"We've got a number of choices," Shanahan answered.

The good news is that tackle Garry Gilliam has been cleared from the concussion protocol and will be available on Sunday.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Vikings. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
