The Dallas Cowboys made Walden a sixth-round draft pick in 2008. He has since played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Tennesee Titans, and was most recently with the Seattle Seahawks for less than a month.
Seattle placed Walden on injured reserve on September 1 and later released him with an injury settlement.
Walden registered 356 combined tackles, 36 sacks, 10 passes defensed, two interceptions, and seven forced fumbles in 10 NFL seasons.
The New Orleans Saints made Kikaha a second-round draft pick in 2015. He spent 2016 on injured reserve with an ACL injury. During his other two NFL seasons, Kikaha has appeared in 27 games with 11 starts while registering 62 combined tackles, eight sacks, three passes defensed, and four forced fumbles.
The Saints waived Kikaha on September 1.
The 49ers entered Sunday's game with 52 players on the roster after placing linebacker Dekoda Watson on injured reserve on Saturday. He sustained a hamstring injury during Friday's practice.
